Urbane service centre
One of the region’s most exciting developments is being built right in front of the terminal of the new Airport Berlin Brandenburg International BBI: the Airport City. This urban service complex offers investors and users the unique opportunity to invest directly in the region’s leading future location. The 16-hectare development comprises a number of variable plots offering sufficient space for six-storey buildings with a total gross floor area of around 148,000 square meters. Four-Star-Hotel to open at BBI
Directly opposite the terminal, a Steigenberger Hotel is scheduled to open at BBI. The project developer ECE is working with the Steigenberger Group to develop a hotel with an adjacent conference area. A capacity of 322 bedrooms, a comprehensive range of conference services, excellent restaurants and a spacious spa are the key features of the first hotel project at the Airport City.
Office and service complex is under development
Another development opposite side of the Terminal, is a new office and service complex. The Frankfurt-based product developer Fay Projects is developing a new, six-storey office centre. The building, which has been named the Berlin Brandenburg Airport Center, will blend harmoniously and attractively into its surroundings, combining an impressive design with modern, sophisticated and highly functional architecture to create a distinctive and eye-catching ensemble.
Four car parks and a car rental centre
By the time the new Airport Berlin Brandenburg International BBI opens, around 10,000 parking spaces will be available for arriving and departing passengers. Parking spaces are available in four multi-storey car parks, each with 2,200 spaces. An exclusive multistorey car park is being built immediately to the south of the new terminal building. Three further car parks will be built as part of the Airport City development, and will offer superb accessibility. A special access level puts the Airport City within a few minutes’ walking distance of the terminal. There will also be a number of groundlevel spaces. A modern rental car centre is being built at the airport to the south-west of the terminal. The new centre will offer many advantages for passengers and rental customers, including excellent accessibility and a location that is within easy walking distance of the terminal.
