mm-Waves for airport security – Research for new approaches for passenger security check
mm-Waves for airport security – Research for new approaches for passenger security checks , October 27, 2011.
Body scanners for passenger security checks at airports use Terahertz radiation or mm-waves technology. An image of the body surface is generated from the backscattered radiation of a focused mm-wave beam, which allows the detection of objects carried underneath clothes. The workshop presents new results from research and discusses the limits of the terahertz technology.
The
presentations are available in German only.
